Running- 3 Days till Tri

I've been thinking a lot about how much I want to keep doing tri's, but unfortunately, triathlon season is just about over until April-May ish. So I decided I will really focus on my running until tri season. So many of the blogs I follow are runners, and I am inspired to run more! Last time I ran a good distance was only 1 mile, and it was probably 6 months ago.. maybe more. I walk/run, but it would be great if I could run a whole 5K.
I am very excited about Saturday! So much to do so little time! Davey worked on my bike and it feels great. I got my wetsuit and swam in it last night at the gym after all my guys were in bed. I thought no one would be there so late... WRONG!I had to get the suit on at home because I can't zip it myself (might be a problem for the tri). So here I am in a very tight wetsuit, with clothes over it, waddling to the car, out of the car to the gym. People were definitely starring. At the front desk, one of the guys looked at the other guy and gave him like a "Look at this girl" look. You could only see the neck part, but I guess it was obvious. While swimming one of those guys came in to bring clean towels and was staring at me like "Why are you wearing a wetsuit?" I wanted to be like, "Really, think about it.. I just might need practice in it!"
A few thoughts: I feel out of breath more because the suit comes up over my neck and feels like it's choking me. I am way more buoyant.. could barley get under the rope to switch lanes. But overall I think it will really help.
Today is my last day for training. I really haven't done much this week! So I am debating what to do. Should I swim, bike, and run/walk? Or should I take it easy and just bike or walk? I don't want to be sore.....
To be continued....

The stronger you get, the more time you make to run and the better you get at running, the more you will like it. One reason I love running, is because I can do it any where, any time. I don't need any high tech gear, just a pair of shoes. The benefits of running are phenomenal and a great way to stay in shape for next tri season.

I felt the chocking when I first put my suit on. It got better though and I didn't feel it at all on race day. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Thank you :) I will need a schedule or something to stick to. Should be fun! That is great that you can just run anywhere! Plus for sure.

There is no shame in run/walking! And the more you do it, the less you'll walk and the more you'll run. It takes time. Some people are natural born runners, and others have to work at it! Just keep moving!
