26 weeks Pregnant & trip update

We made it back late last night.  Our trip and meeting didn't go exactly as planned, but it was good.  We are now actively looking for a church to work at where my husband can build a Sunday School class and do more ministry instead of maintenance and construction like he's doing now.  Our Pastor has counseled us that after that they will send us to start the church!! It's all very exciting, and we are anxious to just do it already, but we know this will be very helpful to us!  We are praying specifically for a church in California to hire us.

We enjoyed spending time at Davey's grandparents, who live across the street from my in-laws.  They gave us a huge bag of oranges, plums, peaches, carrots and squash from their garden.  It was lovely.  Reece ate a plum, peach, orange and a carrot while there! LOL.  Cody and Shane went to the rodeo with my Mom and step Dad, and they had such a fun time! They got to ride a mechanical bull, and they each won a potato sack race!!!!

It was a great weekend.  OH and I had a huge score....at my farmers market thursday, I found a vendor of grass fed beef! California raised AND he had bones/bone marrow for broth!!!!!!! I was so stocked! I was going to drive to 45 mins to get bones!

I'm 26 weeks now and this baby boy is squirming all over!!! LOVE it! I've been eating a lot of oranges and eggs to strengthen my water bag so it won't break first in labor!  Also taking Mother to Be prenatals and Bioflavinoids.

Ok lots to do gotta skidadle.  xo

T minus 4 days.

I don't actually know what T minus anything means....

4 days until our reveal party! I can't wait. Thankfully this week is SUPER busy with our Spiritual Leadership Conference.   It's AWESOME. Pastors and ministry workers from all over come for this conference. It's a big reunion from college. Got to see so many old friends that are now serving the Lord.  It's so great.

Yesterday we had a funeral in the morning, then a luncheon at church, then a quick break home, and then back to church for the evening service, where I worked the 4-6 months old baby nursery.  This really made me want a girl because of all the adorable girl clothes the babies were in ;)

Today I am working in the 4 year olds from noon to 4, then quick run home and back for evening service.

Thanks to those who encouraged me about my book.  I am pursing it and will be finishing it! May take a long time but I will :)

What's working.

Not sure why I am blogging so much lately.  I guess I just have so much in my mind! This weeks been great. I am staying with in my WW points everyday and so far I've gotten 20 Activity points!! Generally you get 1 point for every 10 mins so....that's a lot of minuets I've worked out so far. :)

Did I tell you I ran 5.25 miles the other day outside while pushing Reece in the jogger, with out walking once?? Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah yeah yeah.  {Please don't ask me why I always have to quote Dori}. I was so flippen excited about that. I felt GREAT.  I listened to Jillian Michaels Podcast and time flew by. It R E A L L Y restored my running confidence. I'm no longer worried about the 13.1! I have to thank my $60 old treadmill because running on it is HARD. So running outside seems so easy. Yay.

What's working for me....

1. Not having access to a gym is actually OK! I was worried. But I LOVE having a treadmill, I know I can get in some miles with out leaving the house.  I also like my work out DVD's.  Another thing is we started running at this nice park that has a big pond. It's just under a mile around the whole park. We really enjoy running it and it goes by fast.

2. I started weight training this week as well. Today will be day two, and I like it.

3. I like what I am eating. I am in the grove of easily preparing foods and having them ready and accessible. I made home made Buffalo Chicken and it is D E L I S H. I made extra and ate some for lunch yesterday. Eating foods I like is really important to me.

4. When I want a snack, I've been eating fruit. Berries, watermelon, cantaloupe ect. It is 0 points and it is really filling!

5. I am drinking more water.  You always hear, "It's water weight!!" well what does that mean??!! I just found out it means that if you aren't drinking enough your body will HOLD on to your water because it doesn't know when you will get more. Amazing.

6. Not weighing myself. I am excited for weigh in, but also kinda wanting to go longer with out weighing myself.  It really does a huge number on me mentally. I feel free with out weighing, but at the same time I want to know that I am making progress.

Well that's all for today. Thanks for reading! xoxo

Lookers

A very strange thing is happening. I've noticed people have been looking at me more. Okay well... just men. [Shhhh!] Awkward subject here. And yes I already told Davey. He already knew because he is one of them.

I feel awkward. I am a happily married, modest, Christian, still very curvy housewife.
This week it's been happening more. At first I thought, "Um... is there something on my face!?" then I noticed they were kinda smiling...and... well.... I found myself with a disgusted look on my face. Like I was giving them a dirty look. Which I was. Then I would touch my bangs with my left hand waving my blingage around.

I am nothing too look at. I really think some men are just pervs. You know!? Like, c'mon buddy. I'm driving a mini van and there are two car seats in the back. Really?

I use to get some looks before the weight came on. I think I mentioned this before, but my Mom would always say out loud, in a New York accent (and I never knew why), "Take a Picture, it will last you longer!" whenever a guy was looking at me, and it was always loud enough so they could hear it. Embarrassing? I think so.
Note to self: don't do that to daughter. But also, don't let boys look at daughter.

Let me get one thing straight. It's not like every man is falling at my feet when I walk by. But it's a few looks, and it's a few more than I am use to. I don't like attention, especially when it's from a creep. I am not wearing clothes that invites looks, maybe they are admiring my hair. They wish they had some, because they are bald.

A ladies gym would really benefit for things like this.

I'm feeling uncomfortable, and weird to say, missing flying under the radar like when I was bigger. Odd. Never thought I would say that. MAYBE I am totally wrong, and they are actually thinking, "What a beast!". Hmmm.. maybe this whole post was un-necessary.

How do you comment on a post like this? I don't know, but please, oh please, do.
